5th Grader to Give Previously Banned Speech on Marriage Equality

Kameron Slade spoke out for equality, but his school principal wasn't too thrilled.

New York City elementary school student Kameron Slade is scheduled to give a speech on marriage equality today. The speech will be given as part of a special assembly of fifth graders that was scheduled after news broke last week that Slade’s school principal had banned the speech for being "inappropriate" for the school-wide competition.
