Twenty thirteen was supposed to be the year for comprehensive immigration reform. Although we did see a bipartisan bill pass through the Senate, it never made its way through the House. Democrats blamed Republicans. Meanwhile Obama’s administration continues to deport more than 1,000 people per day. But this year was also a vibrant one for activists who put their bodies on the lines, infiltrating detention centers and halting deportation buses.
