Christine O’Donnell seems desperate. The Republican nominee and Tea Party favorite is trailing in the polls by 19 points, so what’s the next best thing to do? Make a haunting campaign ad that takes a couple cues from Antoine Dodson’s infamous “Bed Intruder” song.

An attack ad against Democratic opponent Chris Coons ends with this ominous message, “hide your will, hide your lights, ‘cause he’s taxing everything out here.”

Of course, O’Donnell’s camp isn’t the first draw inspiration from the song, which became an Internet sensation over the summer. What began as a plea on a local news channel against sexual assault quickly went viral. Not too long ago, Verizon used the song to make a bizarre case against net neutrality.

According to CBS News, O’Donnell’s campaign has yet to respond to a request for comment on the new ad.
