It’s been about a week since former NPR news analyst Juan Williams uttered his famous “When I get on a plane” speech on “The O’Reilly Factor.” In response to Williams’ comments, an anonymous blogger started a Tumblr called “Pictures of Muslims Wearing Things.” It’s a pretty brilliant concept:

Former NPR analyst Juan Williams, among other ignorant people, has an irrational fear of Muslims, and thinks you can identify them based on what they look like. Here I will post pictures of Muslims wearing all sorts of things in an attempt to refute that there is such a thing as “Muslim garb” or a Muslim look.

Take a look at some of the latest entries below. The images, tone and captions are all amazing.

Last month, the New York Times reports that “a record number of Muslim workers are complaining of employment discrimination, from co-workers calling them ‘terrorist’ or ‘Osama’ to employers barring them from wearing head scarves or taking prayer breaks.” Here’s hoping all those haters, and Juan Williams too, check out Tumblr.
